iPad Editorial
Visual Communications IV, Spring 2022
Wanting to bring a real-life article on the musician and producer Grimes to the iPad, I designed interactive spreads in InDesign to help bring the article to life digitally. During the conceptual process, I paid close attention to how one might interact with this editorial in a touch-based manner. I incorporated these touch-based elements, such as a tap-to-play music video feature, to make for a more user-friendly experience that kept the information engaging.
Since I don't own an iPad but wanted to show a walkthrough nonetheless, I took a screen recording of the EPUB using InDesign's interactivity preview and created the subsequent video in AfterEffects.
